Welcome back students, parents and guardians! I hope that you all had a wonderful, fun and relaxing summer. I am excited about the new upcoming school year and am looking forward to serving our FES students, families, and community and staff members.

Second Step Skills for Social and Academic Success is returning back to the K-5 classrooms! I am very excited to be getting back into the classroom to work with our students. Lessons will be provided once a week in each grade level.  Second Step is an interactive, research based program that teaches children skills that help to strengthen their ability to learn, have empathy, manage emotions and problem solve.  Parents, please look for handouts in the beginning of the school year and throughout explaining the program and what your students will be learning in each lesson. There will be a Home Link sent home after each lesson which are short, fun interactive activities for you and your child. These are optional and are not mandatory for you and your child to complete!!   If you have any questions regarding Second Step, please do not hesitate to call or email me. For additional information on Second Step, please visit the website: www.secondstep.org

I will be assisting the middle school team with various Advisory activities this year. We will be engaging our students in a variety of self-exploration activities and assisting our students in gaining insight into their own strengths, weaknesses, interests, learning styles, career exploration as well as looking ahead into high school choices and many more exciting learning activities!

My office hours will be on Wednesday’s from 3:15-3:45. I am also available in the morning from 7:40-8:10 upon request.  Please do not hesitate to contact with questions or concerns regarding your child.

I am looking forward to a fabulous new school year.
